Boho X is a vibrant six‑storey hub hosting Double Eleven. As part of our kitchen team you will support the smooth running of daily catering operations, helping to prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals to building users. The role is hands-on and varied, requiring a positive, team‑focused attitude, excellent attention to hygiene and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and cooking of daily menus, following standard recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
Support serving and plating of food to scheduled services, ensuring timely delivery and attractive presentation.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas, equipment and utensils; follow cleaning rotas and food safety procedures.
Receive and check deliveries, store food items correctly and help monitor stock levels; report low stock and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene and COSHH guidance at all times; assist with record keeping required for compliance (temperature logs, cleaning records, etc.).
Operate kitchen equipment safely and carry out basic maintenance or report faults promptly.
Work collaboratively with the wider hospitality team, following direction from senior kitchen staff and contributing to a positive working environment.
Support special events and occasional extended services as required, adapting to changing priorities and service requirements.
Undertake any reasonable duties required to support the efficient running of the kitchen and building hospitality.
Person Specification
Previous experience working in a commercial or institutional kitchen or catering environment is desirable.
Good awareness of food hygiene practices; food hygiene qualification (e.g. Level 2) and COSHH familiarity are advantageous.
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering clean, well‑presented food and working areas.
Good communication skills and a polite, professional manner when interacting with colleagues and building users.
Flexibility to support varying shift patterns, including occasional early starts or event cover.
Working hours
Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
